The Macau Customs Service has seized a large number of mobile phones and a quantity of amber separately from two visitors arriving at the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal who failed to show customs declaration documents for the items.
According to a statement on Saturday, Customs Service officers seized 348 smartphones from a 45-year-old man, and a quantity of amber weighing 37.5 kilogrammes from a 53-year-old woman, separately on Thursday at the ferry terminal in Macau. The statement did not mention the nationality or place of residence of the two visitor arrivals.
The statement said that both had failed to carry documents showing that they had declared the items.
