Union protests over MGM bonuses

The New Macau Gaming Professionals Association (NMGPA) protested outside MGM in Nape yesterday, urging the US casino operator not to ignore its employees’ demands.

A protester claiming to be an MGM employee told reporters that last year the company gave different-ratio bonuses to its employees as some senior staff members received a bonus equivalent to three months of their salaries while junior staff only received a bonus worth around a month’s salary, adding that the company should give bonuses in equal ratios to all employees.

Some of the protesters wore lion masks in an apparent attempt to hide their identity. The lion is MGM’s famous trademark.
