The import of certain Styrofoam products such as lunch boxes will be completely banned from January 1, according to an order by Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng published in the Official Gazette (BO) yesterday. According to the order dated November 24, as of January 1 the import of disposable Styrofoam lunch boxes, cups, bowls and plates will be prohibited. The order also bans the transit of such products through Macau.
