The Transport Bureau (DSAT) said in a statement yesterday that 88 percent of motor vehicles that were checked by the government last year passed their official emissions tests.
According to the statement, a total of 906 motor vehicles underwent emissions tests last year. The vehicles comprised public buses, coaches, taxis, lorries, cars, motorcycles, and scooters.
According to the statement, some of the public buses were tested on the road, while the others were tested by DSAT officials in depots run by the city’s three public bus operators.
