A pupil was nabbed on Saturday for driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol and drugs, Public Security Police (PSP) spokesman Lei Tak Fai said during a regular press conference yesterday.

Lei noted that the suspect is a local pupil in his twenties, who studies at a day school.

According to Lei, on Saturday morning the police stopped the suspect’s car in a random vehicle check in Nape. During the check, police officers smelt alcohol on the suspect’s breath, and he also seemed to be nervous. The police later discovered a banknote with traces of white powder on it in his car.
