A man died yesterday while working at a resort hotel in Cotai while a woman fell to her death in Avenida do Coronel Mesquita yesterday afternoon, according to two statements by the Judiciary Police (PJ).
The deceased in the first case is a 45-year-old from the mainland surnamed Li, who worked in the engineering department of the hotel, the first statement said.
At around 10 a.m. yesterday, according to the statement, Li was asked to take some pictures in an air-conditioning (AC) plant room on the third floor. After receiving the photos, the colleague the victim had sent them to tried reaching him on the phone as well as over a walkie-talkie, but to no avail. Two hours later two engineering staff members who were walking past the AC plant room saw Li lying there. They reported the incident to their superior, who rang 999 for an ambulance.
