The Public Security Police (PSP) arrested a local man on Thursday for damaging a police motorcycle, a PSP spokesperson said during a regular press conference yesterday.

The spokesperson identified the suspect as a part-time construction worker in his sixties surnamed Chan.

According to the spokesperson, at around 3 p.m. on Thursday a traffic police officer was issuing tickets for vehicles parked illegally near the Barrier Gate border checkpoint. When he returned to his motorcycle an hour later he noticed that the seat had been cut.
