According to data provided by the Health Bureau (SSM), the number of hospital beds at the future Cotai Healthcare Complex is set to increase from the originally-planned 460 to 1,100, Si Nei Na, deputy convener of the Taipa and Coloane Community Service Consultative Council, said yesterday.
Si made the remarks during a post-meeting press briefing at the Islands District Public Services Centre in Taipa.
During a Q&A session in the legislature in November, several lawmakers questioned the slow construction progress of the public hospital project in Cotai, officially known as Cotai Healthcare Complex.
