Firefighters were deployed to remove a loose window at a residential building near Hotel President in Zape yesterday afternoon.
According to a spokesman for the Public Security Police (PSP), the Fire Services Bureau (CB) received a report yesterday that an aluminium-framed window was at risk of falling from a flat on the 15th floor of the building. The Fire Services Bureau deployed several firefighters and a fire engine to remove the window.
Some police officers warned people not to get near to the building during the removal. Other officers diverted traffic at the scene as the removal caused massive traffic jams such as in Avenida da Amizade and Praça Ferreira Amaral.
