A 13-year-old girl from Hong Kong and two Hong Kong male teens were taken into custody on Monday for smuggling cocaine worth HK$190,000, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Choi Ian Fai said during a special press conference in Zape yesterday.
According to Choi, the two male suspects are a 19-year-old pupil surnamed Cheung and an 18-year-old surnamed Pui who claimed to be unemployed. Choi said the girl is a F1 pupil, whose surname was not revealed.
The police last week received a tip-off about Hong Kong residents smuggling drugs into Macau and selling them here, Choi said. After investigating, the police identified Pui as a possible suspect and followed him on Monday afternoon. He was seen acting suspiciously in Rua dos Pescadores, where police officers detained him. They found 16.21 grammes of cocaine on Pui and in the guestroom of a hotel in Nape where he was staying.
