Pupils with special education needs (SEN) sometimes face bullying by other pupils when they are included in a general education system, and simply moving them to another school doesn’t solve the issue, Macau Autism Association Director General Nicole Chan Sio Man said yesterday.

Chan made the remarks on the sidelines of a press conference at Macau Science Centre about World Autism Awareness Day 2018, for which a series of events will be held next month.

She talked to The Macau Post Daily in an interview about the possible challenges that SEN pupils face in an inclusive school setting.
