Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes said yesterday that the heads of the seven departments of her office are in turn temporarily taking on the function of a vice-director – whose position has been vacant for about three months.
Senna Fernandes made the remarks while speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a press conference about the 6th Macau International Travel (Industry) Expo, at Macau Tower.
Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Alexis Tam Chon Weng told reporters on Tuesday he hoped that Cecilia Tse Heng Sai, who resigned as the president of the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) for health reasons in late January, could return to her original position as an MGTO vice-director after fully recovering from her illness, as she was an “excellent” public servant with sound managerial skills.
