Cosmetics company Lush is teaming up with conservation charity Sumatran Orangutan Society (SOS) to raise money to purchase another 50 hectares of land adjacent to the new forest restoration site.

This is the second time the company has run the #SOSsumatra campaign after the success of its first launch in Europe in November last year, according to a recent statement from Lush.

For the campaign, the company is raising money through its limited-edition SOS Sumatra shampoo bar, where all the money raised from the sale of the shampoo bar will go to SOS and their local partners on the ground in Sumatra to purchase a disused oil palm plantation and turn it into a permaculture demonstration site and conservation training hub.
