The Judiciary Police (PJ) have introduced a youth leader scheme, which is set to recruit 50 students from the city’s eight tertiary education institutions, so that they can help combat crime by being a positive influence on their peers.

The Judiciary Police plan to hold workshops for the new youth leaders to understand how the police combat crime. The students will be taken on tours of the various law enforcement agencies in the city and meet other youth communities.

According to the programme, the youth leaders are expected to use their “positive” influence to tell their peers how to keep themselves safe from criminal activities.
