The Macau Federation of Trade Unions (commonly known as Gung Luen) yesterday announced details of a raft of activities in celebration of the upcoming International Workers’ Day, with the theme of “Work for happiness, Cheers to labour”.
The federation hosted a press conference about its annual series of May Day activities at its headquarters in Rua da Ribeira do Patane.
Leong Wai Fong, the federation’s president, said that his union will organise 11 activities and events from now until June 15, adding that his union aims to “transmit positive energy” to workers from various sectors through the activities, and also help them to adapt to the “new era” and face new challenges.
