The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested a man from the mainland on Wednesday for robbing a female money changer in a guestroom of a casino-hotel resort in Cotai in January, PJ spokesman Ho Chan Nam said during a special press conference yesterday.

According to Ho, the victim’s possessions were taken after she drank a glass of water spiked with a sedative that another man – the second suspect – gave her and then fell asleep.

Ho identified the suspect as a 30-year-old surnamed Jia. The 26-year-old victim is also a mainlander who is running a currency-exchange business in Macau.
