A local man in his sixties suffering from an undisclosed illness jumped to his death from a high-rise near the Barrier Gate border checkpoint yesterday morning, the Judiciary Police (PJ) said in a statement.
According to the statement, the case occurred in Block A of the Tamagnini Barbosa Social Housing Estate in Istmo de Ferreira do Amaral.
At 7 a.m. yesterday, a domestic helper living in the building saw a man lying on the banisters in the staircase on the second floor and reported the case to the police, according to the statement.
