Commissioner Against Corruption (CCAC) André Cheong Weng Chon said yesterday that the anti-graft body has completed its investigation into the granting of temporary residency by the Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) through its “major investment” scheme and a scheme for managerial personnel and technical and professional qualification holders hired by local employers.
Cheong also said he expected the CCAC to announce the findings of the investigation later this month.
Cheong made the remarks while speaking to reporters after attending a reception celebrating International Workers’ Day hosted by the Macau Federation of Trade Unions (commonly known as Gung Luen) at Plaza Restaurant in Zape.
