Macau’s total number of licensed motor vehicles at the end of March dropped 2.6 percent year on year to 238,970, the Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC) said in a statement yesterday.
Light motorcycles decreased 15.2 percent to 28,182. Light automobiles dropped 3.2 percent to 106,632, but heavy motorcycles rose 2.5 percent to 96,453.
In the first quarter, new registrations of motor vehicles grew 10.4 percent year on year to 4,155, including 1,660 light automobiles, an increase of 43.1 percent.
