Russian carrier Royal Flight Airlines yesterday launched a regular scheduled flight between Macau and Moscow, opening up new air services and providing more options to travellers.
During an inaugural ceremony yesterday at the local airport, Eric Fong Hio Kin, director of the Marketing Department of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM), noted that Royal Flight Airlines started to provide charter flight services between Macau and the Russian capital in 2016 while the average passenger load factor of those charter flights had reached over 95 percent. He pointed out that as the airline has changed the route from a charter to a regular flight service this year, the Macau International Airport aimed to provide passengers with more convenient travel options.
According to the airline, the direct regular schedule flights will use a Boeing 767 aircraft which has a maximum capacity of 330 passengers. There will be a flight departing from Macau every Thursday afternoon for Moscow, and returning on Friday evening Moscow time. Each of the non-stop flights will take around 10 hours.
