A woman from the mainland was caught for stealing cosmetics and skincare products on Saturday near the Barrier Gate, Public Security Police (PSP) spokeswoman Lei Wa Seong said during a regular press conference yesterday at the Judiciary Police (PJ) headquarters in Zape.
Lei identified the suspect as a woman in her twenties surnamed Wen, who claimed to be unemployed.
Lei said that the Public Security Police received reports from two shops about beauty products having been shoplifted on May 11. Police officers checked CCTV footage from the two shops and identified Wen as the suspect.
