The Public Security Police (PSP) have caught a man who was reportedly seen trying to make indecent contact with schoolgirls in the city centre last week, according to a PSP statement on Friday.
On Thursday, the Judiciary Police (PJ) said in a statement they were informed through the School Safety Network that a parent had seen a man trying to make indecent contact with several schoolgirls. He was frequently spotted wandering around Rua do Campo trying to touch schoolgirls’ bodies or engaging in obscene acts.
According to Friday’s statement, at 8 a.m. on that day a local female told a police officer on patrol outside a kindergarten in Rua Nova Guia that she had been harassed by a man there. She said that the man had approached her and tried to touch her body at the same spot on the two previous days.
