A male teenager from Hong Kong was arrested by the Judiciary Police (PJ) for trafficking drugs in San Kio district early yesterday morning, PJ spokesman Leng Kam Lun said during a special press conference at the PJ headquarters in Zape.

According to Leng, the suspect is a 17-year-old surnamed Yim who told the police that he was unemployed and had been recruited by a Hong Kong drug gang.

Police had recently received a tip-off that Yim would soon enter Macau to sell drugs here and put him under surveillance once he cleared immigration at the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal check point on Tuesday.
