Opening of Macau’s 1st Jollibee draws huge Philippine crowd

Yesterday’s opening of the Philippines’ first local Jollibee branch in Macau, at Circle Square in Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro drew drew hundreds of customers – almost all of them Filipinos – queuing up inside and outside the building.

Jollibee, founded in Quezon City in 1978, is a multinational chain of fast food restaurants with stores in Brunei, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the US and elsewhere.

The company is the largest fast-food chain in the Philippines, operating a nationwide network of over 750 stores, according to the Jollibee website.
