It might not be on the list of places to visit (yet) but Japan’s Tottori, famous for its stunning sand dunes, is a totally underrated travel destination that is definitely worth exploring.

Tottori is a rural area in western Japan along the coast of the Sea of Japan. It has an area of 3,507 square kilometres with a population of just 570,000, with its capital city also called Tottori. The prefecture has two airports, the Tottori Sand Dunes Conan Airport in Tottori city on the east and the Yonago Kitaro Airport in Yonago city on the west.

For Macau residents, there are two direct flights a week between Hong Kong and Tottori to Yonago Kitaro Airport.
