HK waiter sells cocaine in Macau: police

A man from Hong Kong was arrested for trafficking cocaine in Fai Chi Kei yesterday, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Choi Ian Fai said during a special press conference at the PJ headquarters in Zape yesterday.

According to Choi, the suspect is a 25-year-old surnamed Tsang, who works as a waiter in Hong Kong.

Choi said the police received a tip-off about a Hong Kong man selling drugs in Macau. The police later identified Tsang as the possible suspect. At 2 a.m. yesterday, PJ officers took action and arrested him near a fast-food eatery in Fai Chi Kei. Officers seized from the suspect a total of 111 small packets of cocaine, weighing a total of 36.26 grammes, with a street value of 110,000 patacas. Apart from the drugs, the police seized HK$6,900 and 3,000 patacas in cash from the suspect. The police believe that the suspect earnt the money from his drug deals.
