Members of the New Macau Gaming Workers’ Rights Union yesterday petitioned gaming operator Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG), urging the company to pay all GEG employees a fourteenth salary.

According to the union, the petition includes over 300 signatures of Galaxy employees from different departments of the company, which the union handed to a company representative outside Galaxy’s human resources office at Centro Comercial do Grupo Brilhantismo in Zape.

Speaking to reporters after handing the petition to the representative, the union’s president, Cloee Chao Sao Fong, said that Galaxy was among Macau’s top profit-making gaming operators, adding that its performance in the first half of the year was recording-breaking and “brilliant”.
