In response to a deadly gas explosion in a restaurant earlier this month, the Fire Services Bureau (CB) will carry out more inspections of local eateries, Cheong Chi Wang, a senior officer of the bureau said yesterday.
Cheong made the remarks during a press conference announcing the fire statistics for the first half of this year, at the CB headquarters in Nam Van.
On July 3, there was an explosion in a Fujianese restaurant in Areia Preta district that killed a woman and injured six other people.
