An area known as “Navy Yard No. 2” near Barra will be the new venue for one of the performances of the 32nd Macau International Music Festival (MIMF) that will be held from September 28 to October 28, Ieong Chi Kin, the acting president of the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), said yesterday.
Ieong made the remark during an MIMF press conference at the Macau Cultural Centre (CCM) where he announced that the budget for this year’s festival is roughly 30 million patacas.
According to Ieong, the bureau has carried out sound tests at “Navy Yard No. 2” over the last few weeks. Ieong said he hoped that it will be ready for local music groups or bands to use free of charge by the end of the year.
