A local couple who live in a flat in Nape had an argument last week which led the wife to beat her husband with the handle of a cleaver, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokeswoman Lei Hon Nei said at a regular press conference yesterday.
The couple have a 20-year-old daughter.
The 61-year-old victim returned home at around 9 p.m. last Thursday and found that the rubber tube of his blood pressure meter had been cut and suspected his 41-year-old wife, surnamed Yim, had done it in revenge as he had broken her mug earlier. He was furious and in retaliation destroyed Yim’s cosmetics, according to Lei.
