The Judiciary Police (PJ) said in a statement on Saturday that a doorman was found hanging in a meter room by a colleague in a building in Estrada da Areia Preta.
The statement did not say what kind of building it is.
According to the statement, the deceased was a 62-year-old local man surnamed Lei who worked as a doorman at the building.
