A Frenchman burgled a beauty salon in the city centre twice in four days at the end of last month due to gambling losses, leading to a total loss of valuables worth around 30,000 patacas, a Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesperson said during a special press conference on Friday at the PJ headquarters in Zape.
According to the spokesperson, the suspect surnamed Sellu is a French national aged 38. He entered Macau at the beginning of June.
At 8:45 p.m. on July 23, the spokesperson said, a female employee in her 30s locked the day’s takings in a cabinet and put the key beside the cabinet before she left work and locked the front door behind her.
