IPM to sue ex-staff over ‘inauthentic allegations’

The public Macau Polytechnic Institute (IPM) announced on Friday that it plans to sue David Quartermain, a former deputy director of the tertiary education institution’s MPI-Bell Centre of English, over his “exaggerating and inauthentic allegations”

The institute made the announcement during a press conference at on its Zape campus. The conference was attended by several IPM officials including retiring IPM President Lei Heong Iok and MPI-Bell Centre of English Director Lin Ziyu.

The press conference was held at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. However, the media was only notified by the Macau Government Information Bureau (GCS) of the event less than half an hour before.
