If you think the Beatles are for grown-ups, think again, as musicians from the Spanish group “La Petita Malumaluga” (“The Little Malumaluga” in Catalan) are ready to prove that even babies will start to dance when they hear some classic Beatles songs, all taking place under a tent on the stage.

La Petita Malumaluga will be bringing its “Beatles for Babies” show to Macau in a tent-like 360-degree stage where the little ones can roll, crawl and trot around the musicians as they play those famous pop tunes with the violin, saxophone, cello and percussion, a sophisticated yet energetic production that parents could also enjoy.

“We like to think we communicate this production as an idea for [children aged] zero to three because it is quite unusual and we like them to [be] involve[d]”, said Albert Vilà, one of the performers, at a meet-the-press event yesterday at the Macau Cultural Centre (CCM), where they will have six shows starting today, as part of the centre’s ARTmusing Summer programme.
