The number of personal credit cards issued by local banks rose 10.4 percent year on year and 2.2 percent quarter on quarter to 1.24 million at the end of June, the Macau Monetary Authority (AMCM) said in a statement yesterday.
The statement attributed the increase to the rising number of dual and triple currency credit cards.
The number of pataca credit cards rose 10. 2 percent year on year to 878,598. The number of yuan credit cards increased 13.3 percent to 274,567. The number of Hong Kong dollar credit cards grew 3.8 percent to 90,213.
