The Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) said in a statement last night that it will possibly hoist the No. 8 typhoon signal between tonight and tomorrow morning.
According to the statement, the bureau expects the No. 3 signal to remain hoisted. The bureau forecast heavy showers and thunderstorms in the next few days, while the wind will strengthen at the end of today.
According to the SMG website, the still unnamed tropical cyclone was located about 210 km south-west of Macau at 11 p.m., moving towards the western coast of Guangdong province.
