A pedestrian was nabbed by the Public Security Police (PSP) last Thursday for headbutting a PSP officer near the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, PSP spokesman Lam Keong said during a regular press conference yesterday.
Lam identified the suspect as a 51-year-old mainlander surnamed Zhang.
Lam said that while PSP officers were patrolling on a footbridge near the terminal last Thursday evening, they saw Zhang who appeared to be nervous. They approached and asked Zhang to show his ID. Zhang refused and became emotional. He then suddenly headbutted one of the officers.
