The Public Security Police (PSP) nabbed a Japanese man on Wednesday morning at the local airport for carrying an illegal weapon, PSP spokesman Lam Keong said during a regular press conference yesterday.
According to Lam, the suspect is a 26-year-old surnamed Shin, who told the police that he was an “officer”. Lam added that he didn’t know what kind of officer Shin is.
Lam said that Shin was set to depart from the local airport for Tokyo on Wednesday morning. When he was going through the airport’s security check, a security staff member discovered a knuckleduster in his hand luggage. The airport security called the Public Security Police.
This undated handout photo provided by the Public Security Police (PSP) yesterday shows the black knuckleduster seized from the Japanese suspect on Wednesday at the city’s airport.
