A croupier and his two friends conspired to cheat at baccarat in a casino in Cotai where they made away with HK$220,000, the Judiciary Police (PJ) announced yesterday.

A PJ spokesperson said in a regular press briefing yesterday that the casino reported the case to the police on July 20 when the trio allegedly plotted to cheat on the baccarat table when one of them was on duty as croupier there.

According to the police, the croupier would peek to see the values of the cards when he changed the deck and then would hint to his two friends playing at the table how much to bet.
