The Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ) said in a statement yesterday that the number of pupils of the city’s non-tertiary education has increased for five consecutive years.
According to the statement, the bureau expects the number of pupils for the upcoming school year 2018/19 – which starts next week – to reach 80,556, a 1.9 percent increase from 79,092 in the previous school year 2017/18.
The statement said that the number of pupils will have increased for five consecutive school years, from the “lowest value” in school year 2013/14.
