Man caught for in-flight credit card theft

The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested a man from the mainland on Saturday for stealing credit cards from the hand luggage of two passengers, on two Macau-bound flights last year, and using the stolen credit cards to buy items such as consumer electronics and cosmetics, PJ spokesman Lai Man Vai said during a special press conference yesterday.

Lai identified the suspect as a 48-year-old male surnamed Li who told police that he’s a businessman.

Lai said that the police were still looking for Li’s possible accomplices on the two flights. Lai said that at least one other suspect partnered Li.
