Secretary for Economy and Finance Lionel Leong Vai Tac said yesterday that local young professionals who are working and studying in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (GBA) region should grab the opportunities available to develop themselves, and contribute to the country’s development.
According to a statement by Secretariat for Economy and Finance, Leong made the remarks during a meeting with over 30 local Macau students and young professionals who are studying and working in Guangzhou, in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province yesterday.
According to the statement, Leong said that President Xi Jinping personally designed, planned, and promoted the development strategy of the GBA, adding that this national strategy was also a measure to fully open up the country in the new era, and a new practice for the principle of “one country, two systems”.
