BEIJING – A senior discipline official yesterday expressed willingness to enhance cooperation between the mainland and Macau in fighting corruption to promote the healthy development of the economy and society in both regions.
Yang Xiaodu, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and head of the National Supervisory Commission, made the remarks during a meeting with Macau’s Commission Against Corruption chief Cheong Weng Chon.
Speaking highly of the mainland’s achievements in fighting corruption, Cheong expressed hopes of strengthening exchanges and cooperation to jointly fight corruption and uphold integrity.
