A mainland couple was arrested at the Barrier Gate checkpoint last Thursday for defrauding a money changer out of over 150,000 yuan last month, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Choi Ian Fai said yesterday.
Choi announced the case during a regular press conference at the PJ headquarters in Zape.
According to Choi, the suspects are a 26-year-old man surnamed Wang and his 23-year-old wife surnamed Fan. The victim is a male mainlander who engaged in illegal currency changing activities in Macau.
