The Judiciary Police (PJ) have arrested a local man for stealing 7,500 patacas in cash from a restaurant in the northern district, a PJ spokesperson said during a regular press conference yesterday.
According to the spokesperson, the suspect is a 31-year-old surnamed Leong who regularly eats at the restaurant.
The spokesperson said that the owner of the eatery returned to his restaurant in the afternoon of September 15, and discovered that 7,500 patacas in cash had been stolen from the cash register. The owner then reported the theft to the police.
