British cosmetics retailer Lush will start a mooncake tin recycling campaign where people taking five mooncake tins to their shops would get a fresh face mask for free.
This campaign, which applies to their stores in Macau and Hong Kong, is effective from October 1 to 10. The mooncakes tins can be any size as long as they have been cleaned.According to Lush’s statement, the campaign is to reduce waste, and lessen the pressure on the landfills.
The statement said that the mooncake tins collected from the campaign would be taken to recycling plants, adding that it hopes everybody could try to protect the environment.
