A mainlander who overstayed in Macau for two years managed to check into the same hotel in Cotai more than 40 times, PSP spokeswoman Chong Sin I said during a regular press conference yesterday.
According to Chong, the overstayer is a 30-year-old man from Hunan province surnamed Peng, who claimed to be unemployed.
Chong said that early on Monday morning, PSP officers inspected a local bar. During the inspection, officers discovered Peng had overstayed in Macau for two years, so Peng was taken to a police station for questioning.
