Suspect gives victim 5 patacas in hush money
A 91-year-old man has been arrested for sexually assaulting an intellectually disabled woman, Public Security Police (PSP) spokesman Lei Kai Sang said yesterday.
Speaking during a regular press conference, Lei said the suspect is a male resident surnamed Tam, who put his hand into the victim’s trousers when they were in a lift in a residential building in Areia Preta, where both of them live, on Friday.
“She didn’t resist because she was afraid. The old man didn’t stop [touching the victim] until the woman got out of the lift,” Lei said, adding that Tam had told the 27-year-old victim not to tell the others about the matter and given her five patacas in hush money in the lift.
