Four Mongolian citizens are suspected of stealing credit cards in Hong Kong and using them in Macau on a shopping spree, the Judiciary Police (PJ) announced in a special press conference yesterday.

The suspects purchased brand-name clothes and jewellery worth a total of about 200,000 patacas. Two of them were arrested on Tuesday, according to a PJ spokesperson.

One of the cards belonged to a male Hong Kong resident from the UK who was informed by his credit card company that his card had been used to purchase 200,000 patacas worth of designer clothes, mobile phones and other items in Macau on May 2.
