A Transmac bus crashed into a pavement barrier in Fai Chi Kei yesterday morning, leaving a female scooter rider with slight injuries, after she fell when getting off her scooter as she avoided being rammed by the approaching bus, according to a report by government-owned broadcaster TDM.
The accident occurred at around 7 a.m. outside Mayfair Garden in Avenida do Conselheiro Borja – a two-way avenue running from Ilha Verde to Fai Chi Kei and Toi San districts.
According to the TDM report, the No. 4 route bus travelling eastbound – in the direction of Toi San – suddenly crossed the avenue’s central line and hit the pavement barrier on the other side, coming to a stop after damaging about 13 metres of the barrier. No passengers on the bus or pedestrians were injured, the report said.
